Export your bookmarks (HTML file)
These three browsers exchange bookmarks through one format: an HTML file. You export from one, you import into the other.
- Chrome or Edge: ⋮ menu → Bookmarks → Bookmark manager → ⋮ menu → Export bookmarks. (Chrome and Edge share the same engine, so the steps are identical.)
- Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+O → Import and Backup → Export Bookmarks to HTML.
Import the file into the other browser
Tip: on first launch, Chrome, Edge and Firefox also offer a direct import from another browser installed on the same computer.
- Chrome or Edge: Bookmark manager → ⋮ menu → Import bookmarks → pick the HTML file.
- Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+O → Import and Backup → Import Bookmarks from HTML.
The catch with this method
- You get a frozen copy: bookmarks added later in one browser do not follow into the others.
- Nothing is synced: every new device means starting over.
- Bookmarks end up duplicated, scattered across several browsers.
